Funeral services for Holly Jean Fox were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 24 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville. Rev. Ray E. Atwood officiated. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Riceville. Pall bearers were: Frank Theis, Rick Bartels, Joel and Laura Pearce, and Doug and Vikki Eschweiler. Conway Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Holly, 43, died Thursday, July 20, 2000 of an apparent drowning in Lake Hendricks at Riceville.
Holly Jean Fox was born December 23, 1956 at Osage, the daughter of Jerry and Madonna (Showalter) Fox. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter’s Catholic church in New Haven. She attended school in Riceville and graduated from the Riceville High School in 1975. After high school Holly attended North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City where she received a Degree as an Executive Secretary. She then went to work for Nielson’s Rating Company for three years, then worked for Mosher Door in Riceville, and was currently working for Pearce Telephone Company.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She had many artistic hobbies, especially enjoyed making greeting cards with pictures on the computer and sending them to family and friends.
Holly is survived by one daughter: Tera Fox of Riceville; her parents: Jerry and Madonna Fox of Elma; three brothers: Daniel and Karl both of Elma, and Steven of Mareno Valley, Calif.
