Services Were Held August 16
At St. Peter Lutheran ChurchFuneral services for Mrs. Mabel Westrem, 94, who died at her home August 12, were held Wednesday, August 16 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville, with the Reverend Elmer Ellefson officiating.
Mabel Westrem was born November 9, 1894 in Adams, Minnesota, to George F. and Elizabeth (Decker) Schulze. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville, by the Reverend Landrebe and remained a life long member.
She later moved with her family to a farm near Toeterville. October 1, 1919, she was united in marriage to Earl O. Westrem at her parent's home. They farmed near Rose Creek, Minnesota for a number of years, then moved back to Toeterville.
Mrs. Westrem is survived by one son, Marvin of St. Ansgar; three grandsons, David of St. Ansgar, John of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Lester of St. Ansgar; three great-grandchildren and one step-great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Earl; her parents; six brothers, Edward, Fred, Irwin, Lloyd, Walter and Harry; one sister, Rena.
Burial was in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Toeterville.
