HERMAN THRAMS SERVICES TO BE HELD ON FRIDAY
Man Who Operated Store at "Dixie" Dies in California

Funeral services for Herman G. Thrams, 82, who died at Long Beach, Cal., Sunday following a short illness, will be held at the Major-Randall funeral home at 2:30 o'clock, with the Rev. William Galbreth associate pastor of the First Methodist church, in charge.

For 30 years, Mr. Thrams operated the country store at "Dixie", between Plymouth and Osage, Iowa.
He was born at Watertown, Wis., May 30, 1857 and came to Iowa from his native town to start the store, from which he retired 20 years ago. He resided at 1417 Carolina avenue, northeast, but in recent years had resided part of the year at Long Beach and part of the year in Mason City.

Surviving Mr. Thrams are three sisters-in-law, Lydia Thrams, Mason City, and Katherine Thrams and Mattie C. Thrams, Oakland, Calif, and eight nieces and nephews, Florence Thrams, Elmer Thrams, Willard Thrams, and Mrs. Clark Pedelty, Mason City; Mrs. John Schultheis, Little Cedar; George Thrams, Merchantsville, N. J.; Mrs. George Nelson, Osage, and Dr. Elmer Weber, Lake Mills, Wis.

Mr. Thrams was for 25 years a member of the First Methodist church of Mason City.

The body will arrive in Mason City Friday morning and will be taken to the Major-Randall funeral home, where it will be in state until the time of service. Burial will be at Memorial Park cemetery.
