St. Ansgar---Word was received of the death of a former resident, Mrs. Roy Rude, Eau Claire, Wis., May 17 (1950). She was born Evelyn Martin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Martin, June 24, 1915 at Saint Ansgar.
Her mother died when she was a child, so she was raised by relatives in Eau Claire. She spent most of the summervacations with family while they lived in St. Ansgar.
She died at Washburn, Wis., hospital following birth of a daughter by Caesarean section.
Funeral was at Immanuel Lutheran church at Eau Claire, May 20th.
She leaves her husband; two sons, Roy, Jr, and Jack; infant daughter, Bernita Ann; two sisters, Mrs. Irene Machacek, Owatonna, Minn.; Mrs. Florence Hartson, Brownsdale, Minn.; two brothers, Alton, Chicago; Wilmer, Eau Claire.

note* She was the daughter of Gustave "Gus" Julius Martin and Ella (Boening) Martin. Evelyn's parents are buried in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.
