OSAGE, IOWA - Ed Huebsch, age 95, of Osage died Thursday, July 8, 2010, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with the Rev. John Moser officiating. Inurnment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Following services, there will be a time for lunch and to greet the family at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Osage.

Ed was born September 13, 1914, in Perham, Minnesota, the son of Frank and Anna (Posel) Huebsch.

On July 18, 1939, he married Helen Siebels at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Perham. They farmed in the Perham area and moved to Osage in 1960 where Ed continued to work in the turkey industry. Ed was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage and was a Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking.

Ed is survived by his children, Bill (Colly) Huebsch of Osage, Carol (Ron) Gruber of Rochester, Minn., Joe (Sandy) Huebsch of Osage, Diane (Jon) Sparrow of Osage; 25 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sally (Norb) Tollefson of Minneapolis, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Helen, in 2005; his daughter, Lois Root; his son-in-law, Darrell Root; three brothers; and five sisters.
