Osage----Elilge Augusta Schuhmacher, 84 died Monday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur A. Leonhardi, at Rock Island, Ill.; death followed an illness of several months, resulting from heart ailment and other complications.Born March 19, 1861 in eastern Germany, the daughter of Louisa (Tessman) and Peter Will. At the age of 13 she came to ths country with her parents and settled at Watertown, Wis. The following spring the family moved to Myrtle, Minn. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On her birthday in 1882, she was married to Albert A. Schuhmacher. the couple started farming in 1920 and they retired and moved to St. Ansgar, Iowa, where in January 1932 her husband preceded her in death.
Also preceding her were four sons and a daughter.She leaves three sons Arthur and Albert, both of Albert Lea, Minn.; and Elmer of Waterloo, Iowa; three daughters, Mrs. Carl Hartwig, Osage; Mrs. Alfred Baumgartner, Hewitt, Minnesota; and Mrs. Arthur Leonhardi; a brother, Alex Will, Albert Lea, Minnesota; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
The body will be brought to Osage, where funeral services will be at the Champion funeral home at 1 p.m. Thursday. A second service will be held at the Lutheran church in Myrtle, Minnesota at 2:30 p.m. with burial beside her late husband in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery of Myrtle

Former N. Iowa Resident Dies
Mrs. A. A. Schuhmacher Succumbs in IllinoisOsage--The body of Mrs. A. A. Schuhmacher, 85, who died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur A Leonhardi, at Rock Island, Ill., will be brought here for funeral services. Rites will be at the Champion funeral home at 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. E. H. Yohr of the Lutheran church officiating.
A second service will be held at the Lutheran church in Myrtle, Minn., at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be beside her husband in Pilgrims Rest cemetery at Myrtle. Her husband died at St. Ansgar in January 1932.
Survivors include 3 sons, Arthur and Albert, both of Albert Lea, Minn., and Elmer of Waterloo, Iowa; 3 daughters, Mrs. Carl Hartwig of Osage, Mrs. Alfred Baumgartner of Hewitt, Minn., and Mrs. Arthur Leonhardi of Rock Island, Ill.; a brother Alex Will of Albert Lea, Minn; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
