Funeral at St. Ansgar
for Austin ResidentSt. Ansgar, Iowa — Funeral services were held for Diana Pike, 30, at the First Lutheran Church Wednesday, with the Rev. Olaf A. Langehough officiating. Interment was in the First Lutheran cemetery.
Diana Agnetta Pike, daughter of Mary and Edwin Pike, was born April 25, 1917, in Worth county and died Saturday. At the time of her death she was employed in the office of the Marigold Dairy at Austin. Diana was taken sick Saturday noon, Nov. 8. She was taken to a hospital the same evening. Death came unexpectedly at 8:05 p.m., from food poisoning.
Plans had been made by Diana and her fiance, Frank Dining of Albert Lea, for their marriage on Nov. 22.
Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Pike, St. Ansgar; her sisters and brothers, Mrs. Chester Hendrickson, Austin; Mrs, Edward Nelson, Albert Lea; Anton Pike, Osage; Lawrence Pike, Otranto; Mrs. Harold Knutson, St. Ansgar: Warren Pike, St. Ansgar, Mrs. Dean Thompson, Northwood; Mrs. Everett Braun, of Grafton.
