Morrie Eastman, youngest son of Henry and Amelia Eastman, was born near Riceville, Iowa, September 22, 1880, and died at McIntire June 16, 1931, aged 51 years, 6 months and 6 days.
Mr. Eastman was stricken suddenly with his fatal illness Tuesday, June 16. The only member of the family with him at the time of his death was hid brother, Tad. He had been in general good health until a few years ago, when his health began to fail. Although he was able to be about, he had not been feeling well for a few days.
He has been a resident of McIntire all his life, making his home for several years with his brother, Tad, who will keenly feel the loss of a brother.
He leaves to mourn two sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Rob Elwood, of Paul, Minnesota, Mrs. Eva Martin, of Riceville; Tad Eastman, McIntire; Charlie Eastman, whose present address is unknown. His mother, father, one sister and two brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m., conducted by the Reverend Zimmerman, and interment was made in the Wayne Cemetery.
