Mrs. A. Christianson
Died Saturday from
Effects of Bad Burns

Mrs. Anton Christianson passed away Saturday, from the effects of the bad burns she received about 10 days previous. She had been moved from the hospital a week before to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ingvald Halvorson, and was cared for there until her death.

Mrs. Olia Lee-Christianson was born in Ringerike, near Odal, Norway, February 22, 1862. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church in her native land.

Forty-six years ago she came to America. Her parents had preceded her and had settled at Prairie Farm, Wisconsin. The deceased, however, came on to Mitchell County, Iowa.

October 6, 1886 she was united in marriage with Anton Christianson. The marriage service took place at Mona, Iowa. The Christiansons lived in the vicinity of Osage during the early part of their wedded life, and some twenty-five years ago moved into town, where they continued to reside.

Mrs. Christianson was seriously burned March 8, when her clothes accidentally caught fire from a stove. Despite the best of care she passed away March 28, [1931] at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ingvald Halvorson, in her 70th year.

The deceased is survived by her husband and eight children; Mrs. I. A. Halvorson, of Osage; Mrs. Turin B. Boone, of Washington, D. C.; Oscar, of Waterloo; Mrs. Alfred Havig, of Osage; Albert, of Waterloo; George, of Osage; Ralph, of Milwaukee; and Harold, of Osage. There are also five surviving grandchildren.

Funeral services are in the Osage Lutheran Church, April 1 at 2 p.m. Interment is in the Osage Cemetery.
