RICEVILLE GARAGE
MAN DIED SUDDENLY
FROM HEART ATTACKThe Riceville commnity was shocked yesterday morning to learn that Louie F. Mohr, Chevrolet garage man, had died suddenly that morning. His daughter, Miss Elsie, soon after arising heard her father breathing in an unnatural manner, and upon going to his room saw that he was dying.
Dr. Tom Walker was summoned immediately, but Mr. Mohr had passed away before he arrived. He had suffered light heart attacks at different times, but the evening before had been about the garage as usual, apparently in good health.
Mr. Mohr was about 60 years old, and had lived in Riceville for about a dozen years, moving there from a farm near Lime Springs, after the death of his wife.
The daughter kept house for him and his son, Fred, assisted in the operation of the garage. Mr. Mohr had suffered an accident necessitating the amputation of one of his arms many years ago, but that didn't prevent his living a busy, useful life.
He and his son were pioneers in aviation in the county; in fact, Fred is the only licensed pilot, and owns the only plane in the county. The plane is used for business and passenger carrying.
The Mohrs have been interested in science and invention to no small extent, and a few years ago perfected a nice plane that caused a lot of interest over this part of the state.
