Little Cedar, Is Dead at 86Funeral services for Mrs. York Covey, 86, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Champion Funeral Home, Osage, with burial in the Little Cedar** Cemetery. The Reverend Benjamin Hoyt, Osage, was in charge.
Mrs. Covey, who had been in ill health since April 1, died Tuesday, August 27 at her home in Little Cedar.
She was born Lillian Fritcher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Fritcher, St. Ansgar, January 22, 1871. She attended St. Ansgar schools and taught in several rural schools in the vicinity.
She was married to York Covey, Osage, in 1898. They lived in Stacyville, Osage, and the Little Cedar Vicinity.
Mrs. Covey's only survivor is a son, Grant, at home.
