This Morning at
Mitchell HomeOne of the best-known men of the county. F. G. Voight**, passed away at his home this morning, of a long illness from cancer of the stomach.
Mr. Voigt was about 75 years of age. For many years he farmed Mitchell; then brought a residence in town, and moved there. One of his sons, Fred, has operated the home farm for a number of years.
Mr. Voight's business since leaving the farm was moving buildings at which he was recognized and very capable, resourceful man. In fact that was the reputation he held in any of his undertakings, and his general life.
Surviving is his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Bandock, of Oregon, who, with her husband several weeks ago came to be with him; the son mentioned above and another, Irvin, who lives in Oregon. A daughter passed away years ago.

** The newspaper actually spelled the name that way, "F. G. Voight" in that instance. Elsewhere it was C. G. Voigt, or just Voigt.
