TAKEN BY DEATHFuneral services were held Saturday morning for Dale W. Weber 62, of Mason City, who died January 23 [1980], at Mercy Hospital there after an illness of several weeks.
The Reverend Jacob Roth, pastor, was in charge of the rites at Sacred Heart Catholic Church here and burial was in the church cemetery with rites by the honor guard of VFW Post 7920. Arrangements were by C. R. Champion and Sons.
Dale William Weber was born in Mitchell County, June 23, 1917, the son of John and Pauline Kleckner Weber. He grew to adulthood here and entered the United States Army in 1940, serving in the Aleutian Island and Germany. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Mason City and the Catholic Church.
Surviving are his mother, Pauline Weber of Faith Home in Osage; one brother, Luvern Weber of Allison; one sister, Mrs. Richard Jahnel (Mary) of Osage; 16 nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his father in 1974. Memorials will be given to the cancer program.
