Services Held

An Area Funeral Home

Funeral services for Howard D. Cooper, 87, of Mason City and formerly of the Osage area, who died Thursday, November 26 [1987] at a Mason City hospital, were held Saturday, November 28 at Champion Funeral Home, Osage, with the Reverend Charles Wallace of the First United Methodist Church, Mason City, officiating.

Mr. Cooper was born September 22, 1900 in Mitchell County to William and Mary (Cyphers Duryea) Cooper. He received his education in Little Cedar schools. He married Eliza Robinson at Devonia on January 28, 1925.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. George (Twila [Ailene]) Kroneman of rural Osage, Mrs. Ben (Dorothy) Aufderheide of Horizon, Texas, and Mrs. Maynard (Mary) Albers of Owatonna, Minnesota; five sons, Howard Jr., Walter and Merrill, all of Mason City, Charles of Albert Lea, Minnesota, and Donald of Bricelyn, Minnesota; 33 grandchildren; one sister, Myrna North of Osage; two brothers, Warren and Stanley of Osage.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one daughter, one grandson and one brother.

Burial was in the Osage Cemetery.
