OBITUARY: William L. Troge, 1928-1963
Funeral services were held Friday for William Troge, 35, of rural Osage, who died last Tuesday at St. Mary's hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Mr. Troge's death was caused by diabetes and complications, from which he had suffered several years.
The Rev. Gerald Pesch, church pastor, was in charge of the services at St. John's Lutheran church south of Osage. C.R. Champion and Sons were in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Calvary cemetery.
William Louis Troge was born on September 10, 1928 in Mitchell County, the son of Erwin and Rosella Larson Troge. He was baptized at St. John's Lutheran church October 14, 1928 and was confirmed there April 18, 1943. He was educated in the schools of the area and graduated from Osage High School.
His marriage to Loras Morische took place on July 26, 1951.
Mr. Troge served as usher of St. John's, was church treasurer and served as the secretary-treasurer of the Lutheran Layman's League of the church. After he became ill he began to lose his eyesight, and has been blind since April 23, 1956. His health has failed since November 1962.
Mr. Troge is survived by his wife, Loras; three children: Marcia Kay, Jean Ann and Bruce John, all at home; his parents of Osage; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Christianson of Riceville and Mrs. Leslie Miller of Rudd, and one nephew.

OSAGE -- William L. Troge, 35, died Tuesday at a Rochester, Minnesota hospital. He had been ill the last few years. Born in Mitchell County, Sept. 10, 1928, he was the son of Erwin and Rosella Larson Troge. He graduated from Osage High School and farmed until last spring. He was married to Loras Morische, July 26, 1951.
Surviving are his wife, three children: Marsha, 10; Jean Ann, 7; Bruce, 4; his parents, two sisters, Mrs. Charles Christianson, Riceville; and Mrs. Leslie Miller, Rudd.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran church, southwest of Osage. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Champion Funeral Home in charge.
