Wife of Ferdinand (Fred) Zemanek 1877-1963
ST. ANSGAR WOMEN DIES AT 86, RITES AT OSAGE
OSAGE, IOWA - Funeral rites will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m., at Champions Funeral Home, Osage, for Mrs. Fred Zemanek, 86, St. Ansgar. She died Thursday morning at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Burial will be in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.
Born in New York City as Anna Komberetz, in 1874, to Anton and Mary Komberetz. She accompanied her parents to a farm near St. Ansgar when a child. She was married in 1901.
Survivors include her husband, Fred; two daughters, Mrs. Lottie Littelle, high school instructor, Osage; and Ms. Vincent (Frieda) Roach, Ames, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a sister; Mrs Barbara Horsfal, Waterloo.
A brother and a sister preceded her in death
