Funeral services for Mrs. Helmer (Mina) Hanson, (nee Johnson), age 71, were held Tuesday, December 18, 1956 at 2:30 p.m. at the First Lutheran church in St. Ansgar with Rev. Irvin Z. Hyland of Osage officiating, with burial in First Lutheran cemetery beside her husband. Mrs. Hanson passed away last Thursday, December 13, 1956 at Long Beach, California.
Mina Nesset Hanson was born near Mona January 14, 1884, the daughter of Martin and Bertha Johnson Nesset and was one of 12 children. She was baptized and confirmed in the Mona Lutheran church. She received her education in the Pleasant Prairie rural school. On December 3, 1902, she was united in marriage to Helmer Hanson and four children were born to this union. They lived for a number of years in St. Ansgar where her husband operated a produce station.
Her husband and three children, her parents and five brothers and five sisters preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Raymond and his wife, Wilma, and one grandson, Richard, all of Long Beach and one sister, Mrs. Magnus Hanson of Mona.
