George Grant
OSAGE, IOWA - Funeral services were held Saturday, June 4, 1988 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Osage, for George Grant, 77, of Osage. The Reverend Joseph Nesheim and Reverend Dennis Hanson officiated and burial was in the Grafton Cemetery. Mr. Grant died Wednesday, Jun 1, 1988 at the Maple Manor Nursing Home, Osage, of natural causes.
Mr. Grant was born July 18, 1910 in Palmyra. He attended Indianola schools and graduated from Indianola High School. He was also a graduate of Simpson College and received his Master's degree at Drake University. He also attended the University of Minnesota and the University of Iowa. Mr. Grant was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II.
He was a teacher and superintendent of schools at various locations in Iowa and Minnesota.
On August 8, 1948 he married Gladys Kruger in Manly. They lived in Osage since 1989.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys of Osage; one sister, Martha Ruth Blann of Manchester Center, Vermont; and nieces and nephews.
