Funeral services were held last Thursday at the First Lutheran church for a life long resident of Mitchell County, Mrs. Lisetta Hollatz. Rev. W. Kamke officiated.
She was the daughter of Emil Kleinwort and Frederica nee Schultz, and was born on a farm in Newburg township near Carpenter, April 1, 1882. On July 23 she was by Holy Baptism, received into the Grace and Fellowship of the Triune God and His church. Her schooling was received in Carpenter and the Parochial schools at Grafton and on March 28, 1897 she was confirmed in Grafton by Rev. John Landeck.
The years after her confirmation were spent mostly at her parental home, and on November 8, 1906 she was united in marriage to Ernest Hollatz at her home near Carpenter by the Rev. John Landeck. To this union were born three children.
Mrs. Hollatz, together with her husband, had the privilege of celebrating their golden wedding in the year of 1956.
She died quietly at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Ehlke, on January 13, 1964 at 1:30 p.m. at the age of 81 years. While at the home of her daughter she was a member of the St. Peter Lutheran church at Toeterville.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Ewald (Bernice) Ehlke of Toeterville; Mrs. Osie Mae Adrian of Baudette, Minn.; and one son, Ernest of rural St. Ansgar; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her husband in April, 1960 and four sisters and two brothers.
