Rites for E. J. Hulse Held Monday P. M.; Burial at St. Ansgar
Funeral services for E. J. Hulse were held at the Meyer funeral home Monday at 1:30 p. m. with the Rev. Paul A. Peterson of Wesley Methodist church officiating Burial was at St. Ansgar, where the Rev. Mr. Norhdurff of the Methodist church was in charge of the committal service. Mrs. Paul A. Peterson sang "Does Jesus Care?" and "Saved by Grace," accompanied by Mrs. Carl H. Carlson, organist.
Mr. Hulse was born March 10, 1859, near Madison, Wisconsin, and was married at St. Ansgar on February 16, 1897, to Clara Comstock who survives. Of the three children born to the couple, only one, Ervin D Hulse of Hayward, Califronia is living. Also surviving are five grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Gustie Kemper of Dubuque.
Mr Hulse had lived in Mason City since 1915. The Meyer funeral home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
