Funeral services for Axel Christian Henry Hansen, 64, were held Friday, November 22, 1968 at First Lutheran church with the Rev. Don Comnick in charge. Burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.

Axel Christian Henry Hansen was born November 1, 1904, the son of Christian Julius and Hunsigne Hansen. He was baptized in Glumso, Denmark and confirmed in Alsted, Denmark. He received his education in Alsted, Denmark.

Mr. Hansen came to the United States and to St. Ansgar on March 18, 1923 and spent the rest of his life time in the St. Ansgar vicinity engaged in farming.

He was united in marriage to Mary Mostek September 28, 1930. To this union five children were born, two sons, Axel Jr. and Gerald and three daughters, Judith Ann, deceased; Mary Ann, deceased; and Mrs. James (Judith) Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, Axel and Gerald and one daughter, Mrs. James (Judith) Wilson of Anaheim, California; five grandchildren; two brothers, Paul of Alsted, Denmark and Kai of Clinton.

He is survived by his widow, Mary; two sons, Axel Jr. and Gerald, both of St. Ansgar; a daughter, Mrs. James Wilson of Anaheim, California; two brothers, Kai of Clinton, and Paul of Alsted, Denmark.

Axel Hansen of St. Ansgar will leave Wednesday for New York where he will board a plane for Olsted, Denmark, to visit his mother, Mrs. Hansine Hansen, and other relatives. He plans to remain in Denmark several weeks.
