Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret W. Hanson, 84, who died at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center November 5, 1973, were held November 8 at First Lutheran church with the Rev. Stephen Engelstad officiating.
Margaret W. Hanson was born August 4, 1889 in St. Paul, Minn. She was educated in the St. Paul schools and taught school at Havana, N.D.
On November 4, 1909 she was married to Halvor O. Hanson of St. Ansgar. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in 1924 by the Rev. M.E. Waldeland, and was a member of the Ladies Aid of First Lutheran for many years.
Mrs. Hanson was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by a son and four grandchildren in California; several nieces and nephews and a great number of friends.
Burial was in First Lutheran cemetery with Rev. Engelstad in charge of committal services.
