Graveside Rites Held
For Mahlon Chinn, 50Funeral services for Mahlon Chinn, 50, former resident of Mitchell county, were held in Benkelman, Neb., Saturday, before the body was brought to Mitchell for burial Sunday.
The Osage American Legion was in charge of the military rites at Oak Grove cemetery.
Mahlon Chinn was born Mar. 20, 1912, in Mitchell county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Chinn, custodians at the Mitchell county home for many years. He was graduated from Osage high school in 1929, he was a veteran of service with the navy hospital unit. At the time of his death he was assistant administrator at a hospital in Benkleman.
His death was the result of a heart attack.
He is survived by his wife, Zalona, of Benkelman, two stepchildren, his mother, Mrs. George Chinn, one sister, Mrs. Howard Angell, both of Honolulu, Hawaii, one brother Chester of Denver, Colo., three nieces and several anunts and uncles. Mrs. W. A. Fox of Osage is an aunt of the deceased.
