Harold Bjortomt Funeral Services Held February 3 At Albert Lea Lutheran Church.

Funeral services for Harold "Shorty" Bjortomt of Albert Lea, Minnesota, and formerly of St. Ansgar, who died Tuesday, January 31 (1989) at Naeve Hosptal, Albert Lea, Minnesota, of natural causes, were held Friday, February 3 at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea, with the Reverend Donald Rose officiating.

Mr. Bjortomt was born April 4, 1915 to Helmer and Alma (Melum) Bjortomt. He was baptized and confirmed at LeRoy Lutheran Church. He was graduated from Waldorf College in Forest City.

He married Ruth Petersen June 14, 1941. They lived in LeRoy and Adams, Minnesota, St. Ansgar, and then moved to Albert Lea in 1965.

Mr. Bjortomt earned the rank of Eagle Scout while in LeRoy and was Scoutmaster in St. Ansgar. He worked for Interstate Power for 35 years. He was a member of the Moose, Eagles, and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; three sons, Don of Huntington, Indiana, Larry of Waterloo, and Roger of Mankato; six grandchildren; one great grandson; and one sister, Mrs. Robert (Violet) Adams of Asheville, North Carolina.

Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Albert Lea, Minnesota.
