IVAR C. BARTELL

Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Kearns-Dykeman Chapel for Ivar C. Bartell, 69, of 1750 Locke Ave, who died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Francis Hospital of, a heart condition. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday and those who wish may contribute to the memorial fund of the Trinity American Church in his name. The Rev. R. M. Meyer, pastor of the Trinity American Lutheran Church will officiate and burial will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery at St. Ansgar.

He was born in Mason City on August 15, 1903, the son of Chelsie and Hanna Kinneberg Bartell. He came to Waterloo in 1906.

He married Ida Ellingson on November 24, 1921 in Waterloo.

Mr. Bartell was a sercurity guard for the Chamberlain Manufacturing Co. for 15 years before retiring in 1966. Prior to that employment he was a mechanic for the Waterloo Laundry Co. for 12 years. He was a member of the Trinity American Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Ivar J. of Austin, Minneosta and Kenneth E. of Minneapolis, one daughter, Mrs. Barbara J. Stewart of Dayton, Ohio, one brother, Kenneth D. of Cresco, one sister, Mrs. Roy Broadbent of Redondo Beach, California, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, a twin of Mrs. Stewart; two brothers; and one grandson.
