Dies Two Days Before His 77th Birthday
St. Ansgar, Iowa — Henry Lenz, who would have been 77 on Monday, died Saturday at Glenwood.
Born at Mendota, Illinois, he had farmed in Iowa for 60 years, and until five years ago he was a farmer in this vicinity, living near Otranto.
He is survived by his wife, Clara, and 10 children: Thomas Lenz, Otranto; Mrs. D. W. Harmon, Glenwood; Mrs. H. A. Dockstader, Rudd; Clifton Lenz, Story City; Mrs. Frank Gilger, Austin, Minn.; Clarence, Harry and Jack of Lyle, Minn.; Ronald of Floyd and Dale of Rolfe. He also leaves 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Methodist church, St. Ansgar, the Rev. Milton Nothdurft officiating. Burial will be in the East cemetery, St. Ansgar.
