There will be a time of remembrance at 7:30 P.M. on Friday.

Harlan D. Perrin, 71, of Charles City, died Tuesday morning, March 23, 2010, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

There will be no memorial services. Inurnment will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery, Charles City.

Harlan David Perrin was born July 17, 1938, in Osage, the son of Gilbert and Almira (Sewright) Perrin. He graduated from the Charles City High School in 1956. Later, he attended Arizona State University and Phoenix College. Harlan served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1960. On July 15, 1961, he was united in marriage to Rose Mary Schmall at St. Michaels Church in Nashua. Harlan retired from Salsbury Laboratories. His interests included playing cards, fishing, woodworking and reading.

Living family members include his three children, Juliana (Robert) Butterfield of Pensacola, Florida, Dennis Perrin of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Laura (Richard) Brown of Chandler, Arizona; two grandchildren, Zaydi Tarazon and Riley Tarazon; and a sister, Kay (Richard) Young of Charles City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Floyd County Friends of Cancer in Charles City or Hospice of North Iowa.
