MITCHELL CHILD KILLED BY TRACTOR
OSAGE, IOWA - Jacqueline Boerjan, nearly 2, was killed instantly at 11 a.m.. Thursday, when she was run over by a tractor operated by her uncle, John Boerjan.
The child was out in the yard at the Boerjan home eight and half miles northwest of Osage and was behind the tractor when her uncle backed up the tractor the wheel passing over her head Mitchell County Coroner R.W. Whitley stated that death was instantaneous.
Jacqueline was born December. 6 1949, to Mr. and Mrs. Ben Boerjan.
Survivors include her parents grandparents, Mr. and Mrs George Borchardt, Mitchell, and Mr. and Mrs. August Boerjan, St. Ansgar; a great grandfather, Otto Bartz, St. Ansgar; a great grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Borchardt, Osage; a sister, Myra Jean and two brothers, Gary Dean and Roger Lee.
White mass will be at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church here. Burial will be in the cemetery at St. Ansgar. Rosary will be recited Friday night at the Boerjan home.
