When ten years old the family moved to Colton, New York, and in September 1863, to Walworth County Wisconsin, living there three years. September 28, 1865, she was married to Henry Lytle. To this union were born three daughters, Mrs. Louis Basford of Osage, Mrs. Georgia Andrews of Orchard, and Mrs. Grace Colton of Osage. All were with her in her last sickness.

In 1872 Mrs. Lytle was baptized and united with the Free Baptist church at South Wayne, Wis. The following year the family moved to Bremer County, Iowa, and she united with the Free Baptist church at Tripoli. In November, 1886, Mr. Lytle moved to Mitchell County on to a farm near Stillwater, where Mr. Lytle died March 27, 1905.

For two years Mrs. Lytle was a member of the Congregational church at Stillwater. In 1888 Mr. and Mrs. Lytle took Harry L. Johnson, a motherless boy three years old and gave him a home and a father's and mother's love.

In September, 1910, Mrs. Lytle rented the farm and moved to Osage. Besides the three daughters and Harry she leaves two brothers, several cousins, grandchildren, a host of friends and acquaintances to mourn her loss.

The services were held at Orchard Wednesday p.m., conducted by Rev. M.D. Mack of Lincoln Free Baptist church, and Rev. H. O. Allen of the Congregational church, Osage.
