Funeral services for Edward A. Feldt, 69, of St. Ansgar, who died June 13, were held June 16 at the First Lutheran church here with the Rev. Stephen Engelstad officiating.

Edward Albert Feldt was born July 14, 1910 in Mitchell county, the son of William F. and Margaret (Dreher) Feldt. He was baptized and confirmed in the Rock Creek Lutheran church.

Mr. Feldt owned and operated the St. Ansgar Grain & Feed business here for several years, and was engaged in farming in the St. Ansgar and Carpenter area. He moved to St. Ansgar in 1973. After his retirement from farming he operated Ed's Market in Manly for two years. He was a member of First Lutheran church, serving as deacon and trustee.

He married Mildred Thompson September 15, 1934 in St. Ansgar. Four children were born to them; Sherlyn Phares of Escondido, Calif.; Suzanne of St. Ansgar; Donna DeBell of Clear Lake and Major William E. Feldt of Abilene, Tex. Also he is survived by his wife, Mildred; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren; one sister, Laura Culbertson of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, Alvin of Cloverton, Minn. and Willard of Ogema, Minn. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Feldt was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran cemetery here with Rev. Engelstad in charge of the committal services.
