Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 24, 2001 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Osage, for Stanley Lester Krones, age 66, of Osage. Rev. Christian F. Gugel officiated and interment was in the Osage Cemetery. Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage, in charge of arrangements. Stanley died Saturday, July 21, 2001 at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage.

He was born March 13, 1935 in Osage the son of Lester and Katherine (Rodemaker) Krones. He graduated from Osage High School in 1954. Stanley was united in marriage to Phyllis McKee on Sept. 7, 1957 at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage. He owned and operated Stan's Repair, repairing tractors, trucks and farm machinery. He was a mechanic's mechanic who could fix or build anything. In 1974 he went to work for the Osage Municipal Utilities retiring in 1998. Stanley was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a longtime member of Mitchell County Conservation Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, custom sawing and woodworking. He loved being with his family and especially his granddaughters.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Those that survive him include his wife Phyllis Krones of Osage; one daughter, Lisa Eichmeier and her husband, Kevin of Osage and children Stephanie and Lindsey; two sons, Duane and wife, Lisa of River Falls, Wisconsin, and daughters, Alicia and Samantha and Gary and wife, Ruth of Osage and children, Mackenzie, Teri and Kaitlyn; one sister, Sandra Heckstein and her husband, Vernon of Osage; one brother, David Krones and wife, Ginnie of Hanover, Minnesota.

STANLEY LESTER KRONES

OSAGE - Stanley Lester Krones, 66, of Osage, died Saturday (July 21, 2001) at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.

His funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Osage, with the Rev. Christian F. Gugel officiating. Interment will be in Osage Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage, and one hour before services at the church.
