Mrs. Charles Jones Funeral Held
At Little Brown ChurchFuneral services for Mrs. Charles Jones, 42, of rural Nashua, who died June 1, were held June 4 at the Little Brown Church in the Vale near Nashua with the Rev. John Christy officiating.
Marlys Mae Jones, daughter of Arnold and Erma (Schmidt) Wilde, was born on the Wilde farm in Rock township October 12, 1938. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran church, Rock township.
She married Charles E. Jones October 30, 1959. They made their home in Nashua for two years, and then moved to their present farm home in rural Nashua. Three daughters were born to them.
Mrs. Jones was active as a homemaker, mother and farm wife. She transferred her membership to the Little Brown church and served as Sunday school teacher for 16 years. Also she was a member of the church choir, Women’s Fellowship, and various church offices, including Sunday school superintendent.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; three daughters, Joaquin, Jane and Julie at home; her step mother, Mrs. Ruth Wilde; two brothers, Allen and Richard Wilde and numerous other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Burial was in Greenwood cemetery in Nashua with the Rev. Christy in charge of the committal services.
