Funeral Held Friday
for Former St. Ansgar Woman;
Burial at AmesSt. Ansgar, Iowa — Harold L. McKinley received word of the death of his sister, Mrs. Ethel McKinley Bliss, 64, wife of E. K. Bliss, director of agriculture extension service at Iowa State college, Ames, who died at her home early Wednesday morning. Mrs. Bliss had suffered a stroke 2 years ago, and complications led to 2 weeks of serious illness.
She was born on a farm in Newburg township, near St. Ansgar, and spent her girlhood days here.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Lt. Hobert K. Bliss, now in Germany, Lt. William R. Bliss in the medical corps, and Richard K. Bliss. Seattle, Wash one brother, H. L. McKinley, St. Ansgar, two sisters, Miss Angeline McKinley, Minneapolis, and Mrs. Harriet Browne, St. Paul.
Funeral services were held Friday in the Congregational church Ames, and burial was in the college cemetery.
