[NOTE: Ingeborg was born 23rd January 1827 in Vang, Oppland county, Norway.
Parents: Guldbrand Guldbrandsen Opdahl and Anne Iversdatter.

Ingebor Opdahl was born in Valders, Norway, January 23, 1827, and baptized February 1st of the same year.
She was given in marriage on the ninth of June 1850, to N.H. Nelson. In the year 1853 they emigrated to Spring Prairie, Wisconsin and in the following year settled in Mitchell County, Iowa.
She died August 10th, 1916 on the old homestead north of St. Ansgar where she had spent fifty two years of her useful life.
A family of eight children, twenty two grandchildren and four great grandchildren survive her, also two sisters and a brother.
Their names are: Howard Nelson, Northwood, N. Dakota, Gilbert Nelson, Fargo, North Dakota, Nels Nelson, Underwood, North Dakota, Mrs. E.B. Bergan, De Forest, Wisconsin, I.C. Nelson, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Andrew Nelson, Bucyrus, North Dakota, Belle and Mary Nelson, St. Ansgar, Iowa. Her grandchild, Ida Tollefson, who since childhood has lived with her grandparents.
