Mrs. Al Kildee Died Saturday
Ill Many YearsMrs. Al Kildee, 63, died at her home Saturday after many years of invalidism. Mrs. Kildee suffered from arthritis and for the past several years has been confined to a wheel-chair.
Leona Blanche Hart, the only daughter of Benjamin and Sarah Hart, was born on a farm near Osage, Iowa, Aug. 4, 1876, and passed away at her home in Osage Oct. 14, 1939. She spent all of her life in Mitchell County, with the exception of a few years, during her childhood when the family lived in South Dakota.
Her education was received in the Osage public schools.
She was united in marriage to Jesse Albert Kildee on May 24, 1901. To this union two children, a son and a daughter were born.
Mrs. Kildee was a member of the Methodist Church for a good many years, was a member of the various organizations, and did her share in any community enterprise for civic betterment, as long as she was able.
Her mother, Mrs. Sarah Hart, preceded her in death in 1937.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, who with the daughter, Mildred, have given their wife and mother loving and tender care through her long and painful illness; also her son, Richard, and granddaughter, Leona Jean of West Point, Nebr., and her only brother, John Hart, of Charles City.
A funeral service was held at the Shelledy funeral home Monday afternoon in charge of the Rev. H.M. Grant, pastor of the Methodist church and burial was made in the Osage cemetery.
