Elda Ella Perau Funeral February 18
Funeral services for Elda Ella Perau, 84, formerly of St. Ansgar, who died at her home in Phoenix on Valentines Day, 2001, were held on Tuesday, February 20 at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, with the Reverend Edward Schmidt officiating.
Elda was born in Mitchell County to George and Elsie Perau and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attend school in St. Ansgar area and in April of 1940 entered the Academy of Beauty in Waterloo and went on to practice cosmetology for 55 years.
On September 20, 1947 she was united in marriage to Leslie Valentine Drunasky. They were blessed with four children and survived three of them, twins Rhinda Lee Raymond and Rhonda Kay Bell, Keith Leslie and Rita Ann (Deceased). In 1954 she was divorced and was forced to move to Arizona due to Rita Ann’s health. She was a member of the Boys and Girls Scouting, the Business and Professional Women’s Club, the Valley Art League and the Cystic Fibrosis organizations. She was a good Christian and an active member of Mr. Calvary Lutheran Church.
Elda is survived by her eldest sister Della Jensen of St. Ansgar; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Burial was in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Toeterville.
