OBITUARY: Othmar G. "Pete" May, 1928-1996,

STACYVILLE, IOWA -- Othmar G. "Pete" May, 68, of Stacyville, died Sunday, August 25, 1996, at the Mitchell County Health Center, Osage.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at Visitation Church, Stacyville, with the Rev. Joseph M. Schneider officiating.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Meyer, with military rites by the Stacyville American Legion.

Othmar G. May was born on August 12, 1928, in Meyer, Mitchell county, Iowa.

Survivors include four sisters, Betty Martyniak of Taunton, Massachusetts; Olivia Pitzen of Stacyville; Evelyn Brumm of Osage, and Sister Margaret of Holy Family Hall, Dubuque; and three brothers, Bernard of Stacyville; Fred of Rose Creek, Minn., and Anthony of Fond du Lac, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Hatten and Sons, Stacyville, is in charge of arrangements.
