ANDREW ELLINGSON

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA — Funeral services for Andrew Ellingson, 87, who died Friday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday [Nov. 20, 1971] at the Schroeder and Houg Funeral Home in St. Ansgar

Bural will be in the St. Ansgar City Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Helen, and one sister, Mrs. C. Edward Miller of St. Ansgar.

Funeral services for Andrew O. Ellingson, 87, who died at the Mitchell County Memorial hospital November 26, were held November 30 at the Schroeder and Houg Funeral Home here with the Rev. Don Comnick officiating.

Andrew O. Ellingson, the oldest son of Sam and Carrie (Olson) Ellingson, was born May 10, 1884 in Rock Township, Mitchell county. A lifelong member of First Lutheran church he was baptized and confirmed by the Rev. Johan Olsen. His early life was spent in farming and after retiring from farming he operated stores in Osage and Carpenter.

On February 27, 1917 he was united in marriage to Mrs. Helene Roggins, and for five years they operated a delicatessen in Florida. Mr. Ellingson enjoyed reasonable good health all his life until November 15 of this year when he entered Mitchell County Memorial hospital for treatment and surgery.

Mr. Ellingson is survived by his wife, Helene; one sister, Mrs. C. Edward Miller of St. Ansgar; two step grandson, John and Bradley Gilbertson of California. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.

Interment was in the St. Anssgar cemetery with Rev. Comnick in charge of the committal services.

FUNERAL HELD FOR
ANDREW ELLINGSON

Funeral servics were held Tuesday afternoon for Andrew Ellingson, 87, of St. Ansgar, who died Friday at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage. Mr. Ellingson had undergone surgery here last week.

Rites were held at the Schroeder and Houg Funeral Home in St. Ansgar with Rev. D. Comnick, pastor of the First Lutheran Church in charge. Burial was in the City Cemetery.

A complete obituary for him will appear in the Press-News next week.
