SPONHEIM, SKUTLE, MEYER

Funeral services were held Thursday, January 21, 1988, at First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, for Selmer M. Sponheim, 88, of St. Ansgar, who died Monday, January 18, 1988 at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. The Rev. Thomas Hughes officiated, and burial was in the First Lutheran Church cemetery, St. Ansgar.
Mr. Sponheim was born Nov. 15, 1899 in Winnebago County to Henry and Mary (Skutle) Sponheim.
On October 4, 1921 he was married to Florence Meyer. They established their home four miles south of St. Ansgar where they farmed for 36 years. In 1957 they moved to St. Ansgar.
Survivors include his wife, Florence of St. Ansgar; on edaughter, Marlys Dass of Princeton, Minnesota; seven grandchidlren and 11 great-grandchildren.
