Funeral services for Paul Dasen, 88, of St. Ansgar, who died October 20 were held October 23 at the First Lutheran church with the Rev. Don Comnick officiating.
Paul Henry John Dasen was born May 8, 1880 in Kankakee, Illinois, the son of Charles and Carolyn Dasen. He was baptized June 20, 1880 by the Rev. Stamer and confirmed April 7, 1895 by the Rev. Weber. As a young man he lived in West Bend and in 1910 moved to Ottosen where he operated a blacksmith and welding business.
On October 16, 1913 he was united in marriage to Laura J. Rivener of Bode. In 1927 they sold the business and purchased a farm in Worth county just west of Carpenter. They retired in 1944 and moved to St. Ansgar.
Mr. Dasen was a member of First Lutheran church, St. Ansgar, at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Laura; one daughter, Vincie E. Rewoldt, Minneapolis; a granddaughter, Laurie Rewoldt, Minneapolis; three sister, Mrs. H.J. (Anna) Dorweiler, Hamel, Minn.; Emma Dasen and Mrs. Carolyn Baker of Kankakee, Illinois; also many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Interment was in First Lutheran cemetery with Rev. Comnick in charge of committal services.
