Funeral services for Mrs. Robert F. Feldt, 77, who died at her home in St. Ansgar Friday, April 22, were held on Monday April 25 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church here with Rev. Norman Betke officiating.
Laura Emma Louise Schroeder Feldt was born October 27, 1899 in Newburg Township, Mitchell County, the daughter of William F. and Antonia (Bartz) Schroeder. She was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock Township, with Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schroeder as her sponsors. She was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church here March 18, 1913, having been instructed by the Rev. Paul Brammer. She was and remained a faithful and active member of the congregation all her life. Mrs. Feldt had been a member of the Young People's Society, Ladies' Aid (LWML) and Esther Circle, the Fellowship Club, the Ladies' Bible Group. She held various offices in these organizations through the years.
September 12, 1922 she married Robert Feldt, and two sons, Harold and Robert, Jr. were born to them. The Feldt's made their home on the family farm until 1954 when they moved to St. Ansgar.
Active in the community as well as the church, Mrs. Feldt had been a member of the St. Ansgar Garden Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Woman's club and was a regular volunteer at the Good Samaritan Center here. She held various offices in these organizations over the years.
Mrs. Feldt is survived by her husband, Robert; sons, Harold of St. Ansgar and Robert, Jr. of Crookston, Minn.; nine grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Eleanor Mielke of Wheaton, Minn.; nieces and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, two brothers, Oscar of St. Ansgar and Alvin of Osage; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Julson of St. Paul, Minn.
Burial was in the Newburg Township cemetery, Carpenter, with Rev. Betke in charge of committal services.
