Louisa Elizabeth Clausen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Clausen, died last Thursday at 10:55 a.m. age 13 years, 10 months, and 12 days, from inflammation of the brain. Her sickness was of brief duration, being confined to her bed only about one week. The funeral occurred Saturday from the Norwegian Lutheran Church, and discourses were delivered by Rev. J. Olsen and Rev. J. Bretnall. Many friends were present to pay a parting tribute to the deceased, who now has
Gone away from want and weeping,
Passed beyond all sorrow's reach,
Needing no more care or keeping,
No more vigils on the beach.
Little children, be not weeping,
For a playmate sweet at rest,
While upon her memory heaping,
Thoughts of days and weeks gone past.
Let the thought of rest be soothing,
Every thought of death and pain,
Yet let's think of death while living,
And we ne'r shall live in vain.
