Funeral services for Mrs. Harold Cawelti, 67, of Northwood, who died December 27 at a Mason City hospital, were held December 30 at the First Lutheran church here with the Rev. Stephen Engelstad officiating.

Mrs. Harold (Clarice) Cawelti was born March 25, 1910 in Dickey, N.D., the daughter of Carl and Ida (Halvorson) Dahl. She was baptized in North Dakota and confirmed June 14, 1925 at First Lutheran church in St. Ansgar. Mrs. Cawelti was a 1928 graduate of St. Ansgar high school, attended Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls, following which she taught at a country schoolhouse near St. Ansgar.

June 30, 1931 she married Harold Cawelti. They farmed in the St. Ansgar and Lyle areas for many years. She later owned and operated a restaurant in Northwood for several years. In recent years she had been engaged as a homemaker.

Mrs. Cawelti was preceded in death bzgy her parents, one brother, Everett, and two infant sisters. She is survived by her husband, Harold of Northwood, and one sister, Mrs. Donald (DeLois) Seater of Northwood.

Burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery with the Rev. Engelstad in charge of the committal services.
