Funeral rites will be Wednesday at 2 P.M. at the Champion Funeral Home for an early resident, Mrs. E. V. Cady, with burial in the family lot in the Osage Cemetery.
She died Sunday evening at her son’s home in Rockford, Illinois, having been bedridden for a year, and ill for the last 13 years. Rites were scheduled for Tuesday at the Rockford Methodist Church.
Born Cora Walling, daughter of William and Nancy (Neville) Walling, March 17, 1875, at the home Walling farm southeast of Osage, located on the Mitchell and Floyd County lines.
As a young woman she moved to Osage with her parents, where in 1901, she was married to E. V. Cady. The couple made their first home in Osage, moving later to Meroa, where Mr. Cady was a buttermaker. They operated a grocery store in Osage for some time, operated now by Frank C. Chatman. In 1908 the couple left Osage for Waterloo, where Mr. Cady engaged in the real estate business, leaving there in 1935 because of the ill health of Mrs. Cady.
She leaves one son, William V.; one granddaughter; a brother, Will, of Orchard, Iowa.
Preceding her in death were a daughter, Marjorie, two, and infant sister, Mary, and a sister, Mrs. J. Cole, formerly of Floyd.

Surviving are her husband, a former real estate man here, and one son, William. Burial will be Wednesday in Osage, lowa.
