Services were held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at 2 o’clock Wednesday for Mrs. Anna Bublitz who died at her home here on Sunday, March 12 (1950). The Reverend H. C. Wolters was in charge of the service. Ervin Albrecht, Oscar Rosel, George Adrain, Art Tessman and Wm. A. Groth were the pallbearers.

Anna Wilhelmina Carolina Bublitz, the daughter of the late Wilhelmina and William Seefeld, was born August 28, 1874. She was baptized into the Christian faith. She came to America with her parents in 1882 and settled in Newburg Township. She was confirmed by Pastor Helbig on March 25, 1888.

She was united in marriage with August Bublitz on February 8, 1900. One daughter was born to this union.

Her husband preceded her in death on May 23, 1913. In 1915 with her daughter she came to St. Ansgar, where she lived until the time of her death. Her daughter preceded her in death April 20, 1919.

Mrs. Bublitz had been troubled with a heart ailment for many years, recently she spent some time in the Austin Hospital and since her return seemed to be feeling somewhat better. She died Sunday morning, attaining the age of 75 years, 6 months and 14 days.

The following was the caption under the picture as it appeared in the June 22, 1978 issue of the St. Ansgar Enterprise.

"The picture of this young lady ran in the March 23 (Mitchell Co. Press) issue of the Enterprise as unidentified. Mrs. Alvin Frank has identified her as Mrs. Anna Bublitz as he appeared in her birdesmaid's dress for the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Schmidt of Grafton.

Mrs. Bublitz was an aunt of Mrs. A. L. Dieterich and Mrs. Frank."

NOTES: Mrs. Dieterich is Leona (Seefeldt) (Mrs. Arthur L.) Dieterich, and Mrs. Frank is Wilma (Seefeldt) Frank.
