Steven Clifford Birdsall, 50, of Windsor, Colorado passed away on November 12, 2009 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Steven was born on September 13, 1959 in Osage, Iowa to Weston and Anne Birdsall. He graduated from Osage High School in 1978 and earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University in 1987. He married Julie Hartzell, the love of his life, on December 29, 1984.

Steven worked for Northern Engineering in the late '80's, RBD Engineering in the '90's, and the City of Loveland (Colorado) Water Utility from 1997-2009.

Steven was involved in the Osage Precisionnaires Drum and Bugle Corps in the late 70's and enjoyed jazz music, hiking, nature, bird watching, and building his dream home. He was an avid supporter of all of his daughter, Tayler's activities, the Colorado State University Rams athletics, and Iowa State and Iowa football. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Ft. Collins, Colorado and former board member of the Town of Windsor Water and Sewer Board. Steven loved the Lord, and is no doubt happily helping the Master Carpenter build mansions in Heaven!

Steven is preceded in death by his sister, Susanne Baty. He is survived by his wife, Julie; daughter, Tayler; parents, Wes and Anne Birdsall; sister, Sonne Nielsen (and Pat Doyle); brothers, Scott (Debra) Birdsall and Shan (Tammy) Birdsall; brother-in-law, Corliss Baty; 11 nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and countless friends, co-workers, and associates.
