74 Year Old Farm Woman's Funeral Is Conducted at Church
OSAGE, IOWA — Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Champion funeral home in charge of the Rev. Stiles Lessly of tile Osage Congregational Church for Mrs. Mary Cheney, 74, who died at her farm home southeast of here Monday afternoon.
When she was a year old she came with her parents to a farm near Orchard and has spent her entire life in this vicinity. On Dec. 25, 1876 she was married to George Cheney, who died in 1921.
Surviving are her son, George, and one grandson, Lynn Cheney; four sisters: Mrs. Hattie Hall of Iowa Falls; Mrs. E. M. Dodge of Orchard: Mrs. H. W. Douglass of Vasco, Cal., and Mrs. Amy Sweet of Upton, Wyo.; two brothers, Ed A. Clark of Osage and Dennis Clark of Orchard.
Burial was in the Stillwater cemetery.
