OSAGE, IOWA - Lloyd Milton, age, 99, a lifetime Mitchell County resident, passed away, Tuesday (Nov. 10, 2009) at the Stacyville Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with Pastor Gary Gilbert officiating. Burial will be at the Little Cedar Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Lloyd was born June 7, 1910, on the family farm near Little Cedar, the son of Henry H. and Agnes (Mitchell) Milton. He attended Little Cedar Schools and graduated in the class of 1928.

Lloyd married Sigrun Loden, the daughter of Erick and Dina Loden, on April 9, 1939, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. They raised three sons, H. E. (Gene), Gary and Robert.

Lloyd farmed for many years, near Little Cedar on the family Century Farm, before moving to Osage in the fall of 2002.

Lloyd is survived by his sons, Gene (Bonnie) Milton of Washburn, Gary (Barbara) Milton of Apple Valley, Minn., Robert (Linda) Milton of Glendale, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 49 years, Sigrun; a sister, Laura Ethen; and brothers, William, Leslie, and Maurice Milton.

Arrangements are by Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, 641-732-3706.
