Mrs. Christina Klein
Dies Here Thursday
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Mrs. Christina Klein, 86, who died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sadie Nack with whom she made her home. Death was caused by a heart condition. The Rev. Martin Russet was in charge of the services at the Champion Funeral Home in Osage and at the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Burial was in the Osage Cemetery.
Christina Schand was born Sept. 15, 1872, in Momrock Austria, Hungary. Her marriage to Peter Klein took place January 26, 1892. The family came to America in 1905, settling first in Chicago. They moved to St. Ansgar in 1911, returned to Chicago for several years, coming back to Mitchell in 1931.
Surviving are her seven children, Mrs. Helen Hegel of Lake Mills; Mrs. Sadie Nack & Nick Klein of Osage; Mrs Elinore Hess of Island Lake, Ill.; Mrs. Pearl Ball of Oakton, Ind.; Mrs. Elizabeth Rian, Stokie Illinois, and Mrs. Annie Liebisch of Whitmore Lake, Illinois. She also leaves 19 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Her parents, her husband, two grandchildren and sisters and brothers preceded her in death.
She made her home with her daughter, Mrs Nack since the death of her husband eleven years ago.
