NEW HAVEN, IOWA - Marguerite C. Miller, age 90, of New Haven, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2009, at the Manly Care Center in Manly, Iowa.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 26 , 2009, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in New Haven with the Rev. Ray E. Atwood officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in New Haven.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Marguerite was born in Kent, Minnesota, to Frank and Margaret (Elgas) Sullivan on June 14, 1919. She attended Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids and taught in the Mitchell County country schools.

On July 22, 1941, she married Maurice Miller. They made their home and farmed near New Haven. Maurice preceded her in death on June 17, 1979.

Marguerite is survived by her children, Kenneth Miller of New Haven, Dorthy (Gene) Sweeney of New Haven, Bob (Sally) Miller of New Haven, Ellen (Brian) Hart of Montgomery, Texas, and Ann (Randy) Hoel of Mason City; and 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren;
